	The Shire of Courtlandtslot is part of the Society of Creative Anachronism, an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts, skills, and warfare of pre-17th-century history. Members of the SCA attend events and meetings which may feature battles, combat tournaments, arts exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, feasts, and more. We are in the Kindgom of Aethelmearc. The Shire of Courtlandtslot consists of and is located in Cortland County, NY. We came out of incipiency at the Aethelmearc 10 Year Celebration on June 15, 2007. Thank you to the Barony of Delftwood for their kind sponsorship during our incipiency. The group was dormant for several years but as of August 2021 is now active again! News Updated - May 2023 Heavy practices are back! Please check our Facebook page for the most up to date information! Hello everyone! As you can see there have been some updates made to the website. As of late August 2021 we are officially out of dormancy and are active as a group again. We have a new slate of officers: Seneschal - Charles MacTavish Exchequer - Akela Mears A&S Minister - Erica Monty We all look forward to growing the group and look forward to meeting new faces interested in SCA activities.
